My name is Kelley Cintra and I am sending you this request for support of the American Heart Association Young Professionals Committee. I am respectfully asking you to help support our amazing cause.

On Wednesday May 7th, we will be hosting our Annual RED BALL fundraising event. The event will be hosted at Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. Tickets prices are $150 for one, $275 for two and $160 at the door. This includes a open bar of premium alcohol along with Hors d'Oeuvres, food stations and entertainment from 7:30-10:30pm.

This cause is very important to me personally. I joined this committee in the fall of 2013. I have been passionate about the American Heart Association since college through my sorority's philanthropy. Charity and giving back has always been a huge part of who I am. I have had people close to me that have passed away and loved ones close to those I care for. My grandfather was very close to me and I miss him daily. He died of a complication during heart surgery. I think it is important to educate people on the number 1 leading cause of death in this country and how to prevent losing the ones we love.

Your efforts would mean so much to me. I am setting a personal goal of $1,500 raised by either donations or ticket sales. Our event goal is to raise $100,000 to support the Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Thanks so much,

Kelley

Over the past 10 years of the AHA NYC Young Professionals, we have developed and reached amazing heights as one of the most prestigious young professional groups in Manhattan. Thank YOU for bringing our group to the next level of excellence.

In honor of the New Year, the 2014 Young Professionals Board of Directors has developed a new statement to shape our mission, vision and values as a group. Cheers to the future!

The numbers speak for themselves: we lose an American to heart diseases and stroke every 39 seconds. For young adults under the age of 40, our rates are rising. We'd like to change that.

We are young adults who want to make a difference by increasing awareness and education of cardiovascular dis-eases and stroke while having fun. We have been inspired to get involved, be it because our lives have been directly or indirectly affected by heart diseases and stroke, or be-cause we just want to be part of this active community.

We host regular missions events aimed at getting people learning, thinking, and talking about prevention strategies of a heart healthy lifestyle. We volunteer in the community, meet up for social and fitness events, learn more about heart diseases and stroke, share our stories, advocate for heart policy, support fundraising for cutting edge research, and have fun along the way.

We are vibrant and bold, changing the face of heart disease today, tomorrow. One day at a time.

We are the American Heart Association Young Professionals of NYC. We are the YPs.

Without your commitment to our mission, we would be unable to do the things that we do. Please help us continue to fight America’s number 1 and number 4 causes of death, Heart Disease and Stroke.
