I am honored to share that this year I have been elected to serve on the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association’s premier gala, The Heart & Stroke Ball.
This event brings together trailblazers, leaders and partners who make a change in science, make an impact in our communities and empower progress for overall healthy living.
We live in a world where cardiovascular diseases and stroke are largely preventable yet roughly 4,400 people per day lose the battle; we need to change that. I will be working alongside my colleague and friend Howard Weinstein, the 2020 Gala Co-Chair, as well as the Compass Group.
I am dedicated to help the AHA raise critically-needed funds to support the Association’s lifesaving research, education and community-based initiatives. I am asking you to join me in support of these efforts. Without your help and support, the AHA cannot carry out its mission.
The Gala is a celebration of the leaders who act as catalysts for the future of care, science and for all of us to live longer and healthier lives. Last year alone, and because of events like the Gala, the AHA invested in close to $23 million dollars in local research. Nationally, they invested $188.7 million in critical mission efforts. While progress through research has improved and extended millions of lives, many key questions remain unanswered and new research unlocks ways that we can improve and extend even more lives.
This is a mission I believe in and I ask my friends, family and colleagues to support and donate to the AHA. I thank you in advance for your generosity.
