Dear Heart & Stroke Ball Community,
As Co-Chairs of the 2020 Heart & Stroke Ball, we hope you are well, safe and healthy. We are sending our thoughts to your family, friends and colleagues, and wish you the best as we overcome and navigate the unprecedented historic challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On June 4th, in respect to the health and wellness of our sponsors, leaders and our community, we will be transitioning the Heart & Stroke Ball to a virtual experience. This event will be focusing on “Breaking the Barriers: The AHA’s Response to COVID-19”.
The American Heart Association has been proactively responding and driving solutions based on the needs of our community in the face of COVID-19. The funds that we have raised to date, and that we will continue to raise, are critical for the AHA to continue funding research, supporting the front lines of health care, serving the 120 million people who suffer from cardiovascular disease, and supporting underserved populations.
On June 4th, we will be celebrating the leaders, partners and heroes who continue to help us drive our mission forward. We will acknowledge, thank and pay tribute to all those working the on the frontlines. We will also share the power of the AHA’s influence right now, how we are putting the AHA mission into motion in NYC and beyond, as well as what COVID-19 means for the health and wellness of heart and stroke survivors. Your health is our priority, and we will utilize our time to educate our community on how to stay healthy, strong and support your immune system.
As fellow leaders of the AHA, our personal focus is making sure the AHA is a resource for you, that our generous partners are being highlighted for the amazing work they are doing, and that the AHA’s mission to be a relentless force for longer, healthier lives continues.
During this time of uncertainty, I hope you are incredibly proud of what you are a part of right now as an AHA supporter. We are proud to be a part of this organization, at a time when the AHA is going above and beyond to serve us and impact our daily lives. Thank you for your leadership and support.
Howard & Chris
