Go Red For Women is crucial in driving local support to fund life saving research and to educate women. Though we have made great strides in the advancement of women's cardiovascular health, we still have far to go. We need your help now so that our mothers, sisters and daughters have a chance to fight this silent killer. By sharing a commitment to speak up, spread the word and support the research, you can help save lives.
Every 80 seconds, a woman will die of heart disease. In fact, the disease is the #1 killer of women - claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined. However, with proper education (knowledge is power) and the right lifestyle choices, 80% of all these incidences are preventable.
All women deserve to live a meaningful life, and that’s why I support the American Heart Association’s mission of being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. I have once again taken on a leadership role with the American Heart Association for New York City’s Go Red For Women movement.
Everyone has a reason for “Going Red” with the hope that they and their loved ones can improve and maintain their well-being. I Go Red in honor of my husband Kevin who passed suddenly eight and a half years ago.
Thank you for donating today and helping me reach my personal goal of $30,000.
