What helps your heart can help your brain, too. Living a heart-healthy lifestyle can lower your chances of having a stroke, and it can also make a big difference in your mental abilities as you age. Getting plenty of physical activity, eating a healthy diet and other behaviors that strengthen your heart can have a profound effect on the way you think, how you act and what you remember. The Go Red For Women® Educational Symposium presented by Northwell Health will bring women of NYC together to gain a better understanding of heart and brain health and how to live a healthy life. Participants will learn simple live saving steps to decrease their risk, become empowered and inspired to take personal action, and help their families become more heart-healthy. The event will include a morning of educational panels and presenters, which will include high level speakers to continue to drive awareness in a highly informative light, increasing engagement amongst the lay community. Tickets are $25 and sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information please contact Megan.Lucas@heart.org
