Let’s unite to prevent heart disease and stroke.
Our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends are at risk. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
Get informed about the risks of heart disease and stroke. Know the red flags. Know your heart health story. Go Red For Women inspires women to make lifestyle changes, mobilize communities, and shape policies to save lives. United, we are working to improve the health of women in your community.
It’s time to put our hearts into it and Go Red For Women, so please join us at this year’s luncheon.
The 2016 Go Red for Women Luncheon celebrates New York City women joining together to raise awareness and funds to support education and research programs specifically targeted to address heart disease and stroke in women – the #1 killer of women.
In NYC alone over 13,000 women die of cardiovascular disease and stroke every year. That’s roughly 1,000 women a month and a little over 35 women a day. And of those 13,000 deaths, 80% of them are preventable – over 10,000 women. However these illnesses are preventable and the Go Red For Women movement empowers women to take control of their health so that they can continue to live their lives as mothers, sisters, daughters and friends.
The New York City Go Red For Women Luncheon is a capstone event dedicated to this important issue and it continues its tradition of excellence as the premier luncheon in the country. It highlights the stories of those who have been fortunate to survive this deadly disease and remembers those women who weren’t aware of their risks.
With over 1,300 attendees, spanning top representation from the social, medical, corporate and pharmaceutical communities, the New York City Go Red For Women Luncheon is expected to raise over $1,400,000 in 2016 for research and education aimed at fighting heart disease and stroke in women.
Together, we can start a movement to bring a voice to this silent killer and help save lives. Make it your mission to speak up about heart disease and join us at the 2016 Go Red For Women Luncheon.
Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
